The first line of the second paragraph is iconic.
We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—-
My knife this week is called "Liberty Tree", the first knife in Browning's Living History Series.
The wood handles of the Liberty Tree knife were carved from the last surviving Liberty Tree. This 400-year old tulip poplar stood on the grounds of St. Johns College in Annapolis, Maryland. Having outlived its species by 100 years, the tree witnessed the most significant moments leading to the development of the United States.
It is a large knife at 14" with a 9" blade. There is documented evidence in the Special Projects list that 3 other knives in the series were made for Browning by Buck. The Robert E Lee knife, the Eisenhower knife, and the Vietnam knife. It is my belief that this knife was also made for Browning by Buck. I had always intended to ask Joe Houser about it but I guess I waited too long.
EDIT 7/2/2022 I have determined that this is not a Buck made knife.
