Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This week I have another brand we don't see too much of here on the Forum, the Buck Striders. This one is the model 880 with a tanto blade c.2000. New in the 2000 catalog it is a substantial knife with a G10 handle reinforced with Titanium liners and and sports an ATS34 blade. Also it was not a cheap knife with a MSRP of $190. I know nothing about the Strider collaboration knives but the collaboration appears to have expanded in the early 2000's with different blades, handle shapes, and also fixed blade offerings. Tactical is not my collecting interest and I do not have very many. I think this is my only Strider, offered to me at a knife show 5 years ago at a fair price and I had money burning a hole in my pocket. Surely some of you Sunday Picture Show picture participants know more about the line than I do. Let's see some pictures and tell us what you know.

I only have a regular Strider SnG, not a Buck Strider but I remember they looked quite similar at some time. Before Mick went 100 % custom they where really cheap but a little more Lego than the Strider Legos.

BUT I always preferred a 110 instead because I am not into tactical as well.

Thank you Roger for another Sunday Picture Show. Thanks also to those who contribute photos and comments.

Years ago I held a Buck Strider folder and contemplated buying it...I just didn't like the feel or looks of it. Couldn't see me carrying it instead what I was carrying at the time. When the fixed Buck Striders came out I decided they I wouldn't be practical for my hunting use so dismissed them too.

Like you Roger I don't have many military/tactical. I did buy the BOTM GCK a few months ago, just because...I might do the same if a Buck Strider came along at a great price. Just to have it.

My favorite of all my 'tactical' type knives is this modified Buck 639...

Good morning guys! Happy Father's Day. I was fortunate to find this knife and be able to buy it late last month. I became aware of the Buck Striders about 10 or 12 years ago. I'm not a tactical guy. I strongly favor clean simple lines and elegant construction. My primary focus by far is in the Classic Buck knives. But for this one Sunday I have a Buck Strider collaboration. From the box I believe this to be a model 889. The label is dated 12-08-08. As I understand it the collaboration was the result of a desire to put more of these knives into the hands of people that needed such a knife such as LE and military who couldn't afford the price Strider was selling for at the time. It is definitely a one off for my collection.Buck Strider.jpg

Do you have a picture of the other side of this beautiful 110? any markings on the backside of the blade? Thanks!
The only marking is the date stamp on the one side and nothing on the other. The handle is a mirror image on the other side. It really is a stunning knife. Since I have you on the line, I think it is a very nice thing you are doing for Clint and would like to contribute in a small way too. (paypal?)

Just keep him and all others who are going through a rough time in your prayers. Everything is covered, but we all appreciate your support and contributions to this unique and very special community. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
