Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

Debris washed up on Reunion Island 2015
On This Day, March 8th, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 vanished with 239 people aboard.
The flight was from Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, to Beijing. Satellite data showed the plane turned from its flight path and headed south to the far-southern Indian Ocean. A multinational search failed to turn up any clues to its location. Over the next 3 years debris was found washed ashore on the east African coast and Indian Ocean islands.

Repost from last year. A 308 for March 8th.
The model 308 Canoe, a limited production for AG Russell Knives and documented on the Special Projects list in 2009. A USA made Canoe and produced in 3 variations of 250 each. My Stag (0308STSAG) is shown below. The other variations were Mammoth Ivory, and Black Pearl. The 308 Canoe is unique in that the 2 blades are each a different steel. The Sheepsfoot blade is S30V steel and bears Chuck Buck's signature. The Spearpoint blade is CPM154 and has AG Russell's signature. My pictures do not do this little gem justice and I wish I had the other 2. The knife came in a very oversized foam lined leatherette box. Additionally, there was a buildout of (70) Mammoth Ivory knives (0308BO-B). I Believe these were blems with minor issues such as cracking around the rivets.

I didn't know there were BO and original variants. My stag doesn't have any rivets. I don't know that the BO are blems. 0308BO-2009-F-0308IVSAG-20230912201416_IMG_2579.JPG0308BO-2009-F-0308STSAG-20230906163349_IMG_2530.JPG0308PESAG-2009-F-20230912201648_IMG_2580.JPG

Roger, I completely missed the history lesson. I think the beauty of your 402 Guitar Series. Rosewood handle with Mother of Pearl and Fret inlays drew my attention. Thanks for the reminder of that missing flight. I can't believe it's been 12 years. Time... she flies by lately.

Here are most of my 389 Canoes, I know I have a few more.

I've been trying to collect those. Don't have as many as you. They really went to town on the varieties when they first got introduced, along with the 385. Remember this list I was making? Edit: Dang, the list won't upload.
