Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

Interesting things that happened on May 8th in history
1541
Hernando de Soto's expedition lands in Florida (De Soto MO, a small town 50 mi S of St Louis where I own property to build a retirement home)
( jbmonkey jbmonkey 's great great great great great great gran pappy?)

1846 1st major battle of Mexican War fought at Palo Alto, Texas (America's war of expansion)
1895 China cedes Taiwan to Japan under Treaty of Shimonoseki (China just can't hang on to that little island)
1945 V-E (Victory-in-Europe) Day (the Pacific war took a bit longer)
1945 Tomorrow May 9th Victory Day celebrated in Russia (expect SHTF for Ukraine)

My latest acquisition arrived in the mail today (Saturday). This 120 General was one of the Mini Web Special releases this week. I opted for this over the Budgie BOTM, it is more my kinda thing. Buckeye Burlwood handle, brass furniture, and a 5160 blade make a nice package. This model has a 'dated' history, 2017 date code on the blade, 7/27/21 box date, and a May 4, 2022 release as a web special. Came in the regular yellow box and standard black sheath. This knife really needs a fancier sheath. I wish a COA had been provided for future documentation. I have not seen any information on build quantity. I'm pleased with it, love the handle and there are no cosmetic issues. Whoever does the sharpening is getting better, the edges are very even and symmetrical. Big thanks to Tecate Tecate for a heads up on this knife.

Beautiful knife and a real bonus in 5160 steel. Oddly enough my 120 Buckeye 5160 still hasn't shown as shipped yet.

I'll share a knife I received and posted in the newest Buck knife thread earlier this week.

Thank you Roger for doing the Sunday Picture Show. This is a build out Model 120 that I picked up at the 2008 BCCI Reunion in Post Falls. It was made by Heath Stone and Leroy Remer. The blade is 440-C and the handle is Arbor Vitae. The Model 560 has had the rivets replaced with screws, and the blade, also by Remer, is S-110-V. The 2nd picture shows the handle better.View attachment 1812796View attachment 1812794
