Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

On this Day, November 30th, 2021 Gary Ridgway, who came to be known as the Green River Killer was arrested in Washington State. Pleading guilty to killing 49 women between 1982 and 1998. He has claimed to have murdered as many as 80. Now 76 he is serving 49 life sentences in Washington State Penitentiary Walla Walla. He is the deadliest convicted serial killer in the United States. His early victims were found dumped in the Green River area. He targeted sex workers and runaways he would pickup along the highway in the Seattle or Tacoma area. He would strangle them from behind often just after having had sex, and leave their bodiies in forested areas. He sometimes engaged in acts of necrophilia. Interestingly he was a potential suspect as early as 1982 but there was never any proof. There are quite a few YouTube documentaries, all in the 45 to 90 minute range.

529 BuckSkins. In the catalog from 1988 to 1991. The 1988 catalog lists the frames as Brass and the 1989 catalog lists them as Nickel Silver. 1990 & 1991 Catalogs do not specify. The 5 knives I show below are the 5 Nickel Silver framed versions shown in the 1989 catalog. The catalog numbers for the Nickel Silver and Brass are the same. I did not check but pretty sure I have all the brass framed versions also. Interestingly the Aligator BuckSkin is marked "not for export". Not shown but there was a Burgundy Eel and Oyster Eel in the 1988 catalog so I suppose they were Brass framed.

Thank you Roger for the Sunday Picture show and the History lesson. That guy makes Son of Sam look like a choir boy. This is a take apart Aluminum Legacy with a Selector drop point blade and some Olive Drab Micarta scales. The pocket clip carries tip up.IMG_9381.jpeg

These have been posted a few times but had to have a red knife with the red oak I filled the wood bin with yesterday- the Heritage 119 is by far my favorite and the the 119 without the fuller pulls a close second. Thank You Roger and all

Funny you mentioned him. We just watched a short clip of the news highlights of the year 1977 last night, and that's when David Berkowitz (the Son of Sam killer) was caught. In the initial interviews, he first claimed that he was just following orders from his neighbor Sam's "demon possessed" black Labrador retriever.

Thanks for this Sunday Picture Show, Roger, and for the reminder that there are people like Ridgeway and Berkowitz in the world and we have to be ever watchful.
Thanks also to all who post photos and comment.
Only one I have is the one with eel...

Notice that the Eel and Natural Shark use the same box pattern. Does the bottom of your box say "Oyster"?
Bit of advice from an old brass polisher, on these, DON'T. Many many years ago I got a tiny bit on my Eel and it ruined it, wiping made it worse.

Does anyone have the Knife/Wallet combo pack? It has "simulated lizzard handles" and the wallet has a matching panel. 529W1P.
