Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

On this Day, October 22, 1836, Sam Houston's Inauguration as President of the Republic of Texas.
The Republic of Texas was short lived, 1836 to 1846. The history of the Southwest is more complicated than can be presented here but basically Mexico considered Texas a breakaway province. The United States annexed Texas which went on to become the 28th State. The annexation of Texas by the United States led to the Mexican-American war in 1846. Sam Houston had a long and distinguished career, both military and political. Forgive the length but it is too interesting not to list.
1813-1818 First Lieutenant, US Army
1835-1836 Major General, Texan Army
Battles/Wars War of 1812, Creek War, Texas Revolution
1823-1827 US House of Representatives, Tennessee
1827-1829 7th Governor of Tennessee
1836-1838 1st President Republic of Texas
1839-1841 Texas House of Representatives, San Antonio District
1841-1844 3rd President Republic of Texas
1846-1859 US Senator, Texas
1859-1861 7th Governor of Texas

All knives qualify for the Sunday Picture Show, not just the custom and exotic.
This week just a Plain Jane 118 Personal c.1972.
