My Friday trip was zapped due to some bad weather and the fact that a stomach flu is making its rounds at my house right now. So I decided to at least test the Warden out a little at home.

I apologize for the video quality. The lighting sucked and for some reason the sound does not sync with the visual part. It does on my lap top though. So it must have something to do with the host I guess. Anyway here it is:

Comments:

(1) I was very impressed at how well it batonned. If you look close at the first 2x4 I split you can see it went through a knott twice. No problems on the edge.

(2) I did some light prying and it worked just fine.

(3) I also made a fuzz stick, which I forgot to add, and it worked very well for that.

(4) The coating smothed a little but that's all. After splitting all the wood it is still shaving sharp.

(5) The handle felt superb. No slipping or bitting into my hand. Nice and comfy.

(6) I most likely will not be using the Warden for batonning. I'll leave that to its bigger cousins. But I just wanted to see how it handled if it was all I had. And it worked great. I can't wait to get my kydex pants for it.

I have to say that I am very pleased with this new addition to my line up. It is the EDC I have been searching for. Great job Eric and staff.:thumbup:

Where are the concrete chopping tests? I can't believe you left out the concrete chopping tests. :p

Cool video.

Nice video! I am really impressed with what that little sucker can do. I guess I should give my wardens more respect.:foot:

The postman delivered my quadruplets yesterday! Man, I love this little knife. It may be the best "deal" I have ever had on a knife. High quality... fantastic price.

Anyway... love the video's you put together... pretty cool stuff.

I have to say, that at the co. price on these, I wish I'd have grabbed a couple more. But I am sure more will show sooner or later. And I'd like to see those who have not get at least one before I try for another.

Tyrkon,

AWESOME video... yeah the lighting was dim, but it was good enough to get the point across.

I am a big advocate of smaller knives and what they "CAN" do.

I don't think a lot of people understand that with proper technique even a little knife like the Warden can DO a LOT!!!

It just mostly need to be sharp and tough - good ergos are a plus, but good steel is priority.

I hope a lot of people see this!

.

Nice video ! It seems that I have overlooked the abilities of this sweet little knife...

I'll shoot a similar vid again, with better lighting, after Christmas. My sheath should be here by then. :D And, yes, I am guilty of over looking the abilities of small knives. I am a believer now. ;)

BTW: I just signed up on Megavideo so I plan on uploading the better quality video to it if anyone is interested. I'll post a link to it once it is uploaded in a few minutes. Let me know if it is better quality than the photobucket ones. Thanks guys. :)

I have just added a link to a higher quality video on Megavideo. Still bad lighting but let me know if it is any better than the photobucket version. Thanks. :)

Inspirational as always Tyrkon

And now I have a nice little Swamp Warden coming to me as well :) Cant wait to get it and start using her!!:D

Very cool video, and a nice demonstration of batoning technique as well as the capabilities of the knife.

I saw the Megavideo and I think it's a tad clearer than that on Photobucket. I also think that this video could make a great advertising trailer for the Swamp Warden and of course, The Swamp Rat Knife Co.

Mine - with a light sweater on :)
