I'm interested in the Team Gemini Light Brigade. I know little about it besides what is on Mr. Busse's website. What can you ladies and gentlemen tell me about this knife? How does it feel and how does it perform?

It is a great feeling well balanced blade. It does very well as an all around camp knife. Get one and you won't be disappointed.

its an excellent blade! heavy enough for light chopping, light enough to carry, great balance and for me it fits my hand perfectly. is there anything specific you would like to know about the knife??

There is a thread of me using my TGLB to chop through an oak tree. I am on my cell though so maybe someone can dig that thread up.

It's a Busse, don't worry about performance.

This! ^

If you're looking for the best quality tactical or outdoors knife, you want INFI... I love my TGLB and couldn't think of anything out there that would be better for what it does

It's much harder choosing a sheath. Just get it so you can start fretting about that.

One of the best all around outdoor knives we have ever made. It can do pretty much everything.

Garth

Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. As you may have guessed, this would be my first Busse knife. I already know exactly where I'm going to go for the sheath.

Is INFI really all it's cracked up to be? For most of my life, I've gotten really sick of seeing things I buy break, so I'm obsessed with buying things that won't, which brings me to my love of strong, high performance knives, which is why I'm here.

Also, how sharp would it arrive out of the box?

1) what sheath?

2) check the knife tests on YouTube. Tough.

I would be surprised if you could find any way to break a TGLB short of a cutting torch. Seriously, Busse makes the toughest knives I have ever handled. And both my TGLBs have come to me sufficiently sharp.

1) I'm getting a Southern Comfort from Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths.

2) I was pretty astonished when I saw Noss' infamous test of the Battle Mistress.

It's the best all-around knife I've ever handled; you definitely won't regret picking one up. Here's mine:

Please run a search on the GBU forum before you go ahead with that. Mike had some serious delivery issues at one time; don't know if he has worked that out and is responding to customers in a timely fashion

In order, yes, it's all it's cracked up to be. If you break it, PLEASE take pictures and tell us the story, because we would all LOVE to see that... it's something we don't see much. More importantly, if you manage to break it without INTENTIONALLY trying to break it, the bossman will stand behind it 100%.

They come sharp. Not shaving sharp, not Hair splitting sharp, but sharp enough to slice paper smoothly.

If you spent 10 minutes with a strop, you could make is shaving sharp pretty easily. That's what i did with my TGLB and it shaves effortlessly.

I'm not concerned about it. Mr. Sastre is an artist who puts a lot of time and effort into his work. I'm not surprised about it taking long. His work is very popular and he takes his time doing it, so he's swamped with work. I don't mind waiting for a superior product.

That sounds great, my friend, and that's why I'm here. Looks like I've got some dosh to save. I hope the TGLB is available for a good while. Looks to me like Mr. Busse makes my kind of knife.

You can't go wrong with the TGLB, it has been available direct from Busse for quite some time because of its popularity.

IMHO I think its already a Busse classic like the SHBM

I think so highly of it I have my 4th TGLB on order as we speak :)

IMO would like to see some more TG like designs, perhaps no talon holes, and no choil? or a clip point TG? But I have been eyeballing Busse's for a while, but always felt like all the knives look the same, either drop point with huge choils, or big meat cleavers. I saw the TG on Google images and got hooked immediately, and I like the TGM.

The TGLB is going to be my next knife. The swamp and SR-101 already has me hooked. Now I need to experience INFI!
