Sorry for allowing myself to become too emotionally envolved. Without explaining why, I was before even starting the thread. In doing so I ruined a wonderful oppurtunity for a few of our very best to receive a few great knives from a few of our very best.

One statement, and there are others, that I am particularly sorry about is the one about us throwing dust up into someone's face. That is about as stupid and wrong a statement I could have made. All know that with even a two week head start I am so slow my tires would never throw dust into anybody.

I guess the best I could hope is the thread be completely pulled and allow me to have another try at it by starting it over in a proper maner.

I know I broke at least one rule and fully expect to be banned and would think that proper.

Sorry.

Roger

Roger,Don't beat yourself up. We all know you are a pain at times, but that's what we love about you.You are man enough to apologize for things you said. That is a sign of good character. Now let it rest and get on with all that work you have to do.Beating on steel is a great stress reliever.I wish you well - Merry Christmas. - Stacy

I'll admit I was a bit peeved when you seemed to imply that my friend in the army going to Iraq is less important then your friend in the army going to Iraq. It takes a big man to recognize and admit when they crossed the line though, and I respect you for it.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to respond to this or not. I'm not going to sit here and bash or judge your actions on that thread.

I will say this. I know you had good motivations that I respect.

For what it's worth , I would still like to donate a knife. Just tell me where to send it.

.

Roger I might curse your name from time to time ( ;) ), but I do respect your willingness to "fess up." It's a new day and we're all grown ups here. Thanks for this thread. :D

As someone who has stuck his foot in it ...time and time again. We make mistakes to learn from them. If you didnt learn anything from your previous actions you wouldnt have posted this thread. A real man can eat his words and I'll be there to pass the salt...... I have eaten mine many a time :D
There always bitter ;)

Now go HT with a torch...he he.

what thread ? :)
Roger,, I still love you :)
I didn't get into that one for a good reason.
I'm pretty sure with your full time status now you have some added weight weighing on you and maybe eating away
at the nerves a bit more than it should.,

Eating crow makes a man wiser not weaker..if he grows from it.
I think you are a biger man today..

it's forgotten as far as I'm concerned..

I too think thats the best way to look at it Roger....
A stressed man does unwise things. I too felt something was eating at you besides the topic....

I think alot of people know you better around here so dont worry my friend.
My advise - post - just to shake it off.

In view of this I would like to restart a new thread of the same topic in a acceptable manor. Can we start the thread all over a new now? Please let me know.

Roger

Roger big deal you broke one rule, I'm sure everyone has broken a rule somewhere once. I can't see any harm for one mistake. don't stress about it just continue to make great knives.

Seems to me you were showing passion for the cause. It may have been carried to a personal level, but there is nothing wrong with passion for the cause.

Restart the thread the way you feel it should be. I know I am not hte first to have said this, and I am sure there are none here who disagree. Get the ball rolling man!
