The Bilton is cute... and will make a decent knife to throw in my bag.

The Tin Chirra... my lord, what a beauty! My only question is the khukuri moves easily in and out of the sheath. With my WWII, I can barely get it in and out of its sheath. I'm fighting with it a lot. Which is appropriate, easy in and out, or should you have to fight it? I can't imagine it should be a struggle to draw and sheath your khukuri, and given how sharp they are I'm not sure that its particularly safe to be fighting with the blade. I can tell you this, no way I could get the WWII khukuri safely in and out of its sheath if it were on a belt.

Here is my GORGEOUS Tin Chirra, thank you Yangdu!

Browsing through the tips & tricks sticky at the top of the forum will tell you how to adjust the tightness/looseness of your scabbards.

If I recall correctly, the summaries are:
Steaming, inserting a wedge, and then drying to loosen.
Shims to tighten.

Great picture, thank you Hiramranger

My 20" Ang Khola's sheath was one of the "you have to fight it to get it out" types.

I didn't know there were stickies dealing with it, but here's what I did:

First, I found that the wood insert is too small, and when the Karda and Chakma are inserted securely, they tighten it even more, so I took them out. The sheath was now at least safe to use from a belt, but still tight (and tight right where the belly of the blade starts to come out. So there was lots of exposed blade when I had to really tug, which I think is dangerous, since as soon as the belly cleared, the thing flew out.

Next thing I did was take the clipped off remnant of a zip tie, wedge the blade side of the wood apart and insert the plastic as a shim. Now, if I hold the sheath upside down, the blade will fall most of the way, but not all the way out, but is easy to draw from a belt or baldric. If I insert the karda and chakma, it's still tight.

It doesn't bother me much, though, as I intended from the beginning to get a leather sheath made especially for this one, to be used without the karda and chakma.
