Does anyone know of a knife (besides the slipjoint style) named the Toenail, or Fingernail? I searched through the forums and through google, but couldn't come up with anything. I made an ugly little neck knife last night, and I'd like to name it one of the two, but don't want to be stealin' no names. :D

I think there was one named the toenail, by case...
Either that or elephant toe

There were quite a few companies that made knives called Elephant Toenails. This style of knife is also called a Sunfish. These are the slipjoints that Michael mentioned in the original post of this thread.

Thanks all for the replies -- I ended up calling it the "Ladyfinger." I hope this name isn't already used. ;) :D

Somewhere, sometime, it probably has been used. But, like knife designs, they have all been made before, so why worry about it? Nice knife, by the way.

Thanks -- it was kinda fun to make, but my first real small blade. it never took long to heat that blade up while grinding! :D
