I've had this knife a while, but didn't look too close at it until today when I started digging thru the beat up pearl pile. Sold by John Holler prior to 1906 this little Tower Brand Stockman pattern is really nice. Despite a lack of care (half of one MOP scale is missing, the quality shines thru. Still has good walk and talk. Now the debate is whether to have it put back into usable condition.

What will become of it if you don't ?

I'd say it's not in collectible condition no matter it's age , so you leave it and waste a potentially good user or have it fixed and appreciate it as it was intended.

Send it to @glennbad!

I think it’s worth the investment to give it a little TLC. Sounds like you have a real gem there, I recommend cleaning it up and letting someone put some new scales on it.

Definitely new covers! If you have some time and basic shop tools you might to just give new covers a shot yourself:thumbsup:

I have WAY too many projects. I can't even find time to clean all the old knives I've been getting this last couple years.

if only you could get that yellow awabi shell acrylic gec did a few years ago ..that woudl look classy.i think it would look suitably old in keeping wiy
th the age of the knife...definitely a rebirth for that one.
