The transition from buying to making

So in my quest for the perfect EDC and spending thousands of $ over the years .
I have come to the conclusion that it might not have been made yet. So I have turned my $ and efforts to forging here are a couple of pics of the first few blades from Fort Courage Forge.
I forged these out of some rail road spikes.

To be honest I have not tested for HRC or Rockwell just tested hardness with a brand new file after heat treat and the file just skated across the knife

Fine first effort ... I’m a stock removal maker with using mostly Stainless Steels————————————————————-If you really want to get into knife making/ Forging. I suggest you move on to a known steel from a known supplier!

thanks for the input I will definitely move to better steels once I hone my skills a bit more.
