The trees quiver in fear!!

Checked the forecast and it said snow up at Palomar Mountain so I decided to take the girls(and some knives) out to the woods.
This is a beautiful area year 'round, and especially so in winter and fall.
The AO:

It was the first time in snow for my youngest

Her first snow man! She was very proud

All three enjoying a nice, if cold, lunch

Cassidy, the oldest, is my lil hiking partner and she wanted to go out despite the snow, some of the trail

And this is what happens when you carry a BK9 into the woods:

The trees splinter and fall in anticipation of the 9 tearing them apart! They figure it's better for them to do it on their own..

This one decided to split clean in half for the 9

The wood quivers at the sight of the Necker too!!

Some of the knee knocking, fearful wood even goes so far as to split itself into sections in honor of the 9

And a parting shot as we were leaving, that grin is plastered on my mug from the awesome 9 allowing me the honor of it's presence!

All in all a great day in the woods!!

JV3, no firewood here man:grumpy: there's a strict "no gathering" policy pretty much everywhere in Ca. ridiculous when you walk around a place like this with so much fallen wood and so much fresh growth too.

The pictures don't really show it, i used my iPhone for all of them, but it snowed quit a bit while we were out there.

Great post, love it. The weather here has taken a turn for the better, so I am out and about more and more. I love it cold, but this has been a busy winter for leather sheaths.

Girls look like they are having a great time. Thanks for taking us along.

It was a good time for sure, got to teach my oldest a bit about navigation as the trail we went along started next to a creek, and followed it for about a mile. Permanent terrain features are a great way to keep your bearings and she took to it like a natural.
Also got to give the new sheath a workout
