Hey All,

I finally received my Ganza TTKZ with an excellent made Azwelke open spine Kydex sheath. The fit and finish is superb and aesthetically it's exactly what I wanted.

The TTKZ is a beast. Mine weighs in at 33 oz and feels like a monster. The cerakoted finish is really gorgeous. I'm loving the Aged Bronze finish. So since this nicely will be filling a permanent user spot in my rotation --- I decided it was time for a mirrored edge.

I did some Reprofile work and optimized the edge. The edge angle is now 19 degrees per side (38 degrees inclusive) and has a .5 micron apex. It's been optimized to my preferences and needs. I love it. Took forever, but it was worth the time and effort. Just thought I'd share it with you all :)

Puts my edges to shame! Is there any real decrease in INFI's edge holding ability when taken down to the 20 degree range? My SOB dosnt have a very 'fine' edge on it, and I'm trying to talk myself into putting it on the edgepro.

Congrats on receiving your TTKZ  The Aged Bronze is definitely my favorite.

I run my Pumpkin TGLB and Rodent Solution at 20 degrees per side convexed without any issues.

My CG SOB will get the same as soon as I get some pants for it.

Trust me my friend I understand. It makes you human, until know they have been absolutely flawless. I always wondered how you did it perfectly every time. You are still my wicked edge idol... That edge looks sick

Thanks man! I'm a moron and don't have the first clue as to convexing an edge, but that'll be my new project. That SOB will be... Well... an SOB with a good edge on it.

I think you can easily go near 15 degrees. I however prefer a more durable edge for rougher use. Mine is 19 degrees each side and all the other Busse I have that are 19 degrees are fantastic and effective.

Kind words my friend --- thank you --- but I'm always trying to learn to find ways to make them even better. It's a pleasure to use something that is as impressive aesthetically as it is functionally. Cheers!

Beast and beauty... so, you can get through a redwood in 2, 3 swings? ;) Really good looking blades and edges in your last few threads--thanks for sharing.

You guys are awesome --- thanks for the kind words. Eventually I need to get around to putting a mirror polished edge on my NMFBM and the MOABOLO. That's going to be a lot of work -- but when it's done . . . . Watch out

Nice work , I think I need a lesson :grumpy:

Haha nonsense ---- but if you must know --- the first step is to always pour yourself a stiff drink. That way as your sharpening -- hours in --- you're still grinning and giddy ;)
