Great design and a whole lot of fit&finish over there :thumbup::thumbup:
You aint kiddin', bud. Carving the blade channel by hand, making it fit tight around the tang, AND getting the two internal pins set in there during set up, it was FUN for sure!

But the result is amazing, you said pins, did you split or sawed the handle? the seam seems invisible!!

Thanks Fred! (I did wipe the blood off before shipping them!)

Stezann.....handle is indeed split in two. I used to carve a channel on each half....half the width of the tang. Now I carve just one channel on one side, and then shape the excess wood so that the blade is centered (fingers crossed). And two hidden pins set inside as well.

The seams only seem invisible! You can see them, unfortunately. They aren't bad, don't get me wrong. Here is something I learned while doing these....I think wood glue would have been better to mate the two halves. I used epoxy. I think the wood glue would make the seems really invisible. But if you used wood glue, I would think you would still want to use epoxy in the tang channel(s).

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I hope Vayu is enjoying using them as much as I did making them.

I would like to use your technique, and i don't know if it would be reliable enough, but Islandbladesmith uses rice glue and he gets invisible joints. Maybe also wood glue is understated enough for the task ;)
Again congratulations for the killer pairings

Very nice work. I have been wondering about the glue issue. With the hidden pins, you have to do it all at once, so that would make for some glue juggling, no
