Yesterday and today the SciFi channel has been running old episodes of the Twilight Zone and I have really enjoyed visiting yesteryear. It's kind of funny that even after all these years since it was on prime time TV 1959-64 there have been several episodes I remember seeing somewhere about 45 or so years ago, Geez I feel old!!!! :o ;)
What has been great fun is seeing all the newcomers to the acting field back then that have gone on to be quite famous such as, "Robert Redford, William Shatner, Burt Reynolds, Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper, Carol Burnett, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, Peter Falk, James Whitmore, and Bill Mumy, as well as some old stars such as Buster Keaton, Art Carney, Mickey Rooney, Ida Lupino and John Carradine." and some Barbie and I can't remember except that they look very familiar.
There are things that were done back then that nothing was thought of such as cigarette smoking that you either don't or rarely don't see today.
Another is the way the actors kiss with closed lips like they are bumping into a fence post, a far cry from the open mouth, tongue like an eel, kissing in today's shows.
And although some of the special effects are lame some of them are what I would still consider well done.  :D

I used to watch those when I was a kid. But unlike you Yvsa, they already were old episodes :P

I really laughed once, when there was a super-computer that was able to make X operations/minutes. I told myself "Wow, even my 486 is faster than that, and it's already a dinosaur"

Funny.

In french, they translated the title to "La quatrième dimension", wich means "The fourth dimension"... jerks.

I wonder what the scifi of tomorrow will look like.

Sci Fi channel is one those channels I most often wish I had.

I'm not a big fan, but some of the shows were just special.

Thanks, Yuh nSuh.
