I have found I just can't carry one knife.

The large trapper is a 4 1/2" closed with a S30V blade, Ground Thin with a RC61, just how I like it. Knife has halfstop and is a FlushJoint.

The small two blade trapper is a 3 1/2" closed with a 440V blades, RC61. Knife has halfstop, Antique Remington Bone, fluted bolster w/cap.

I have carried the Wharncliffe for 3 years now, The BackPocket is new (2 months) from Wilfred Works. Until I find one with nicer stag it stays in my BackPocket.

They're beautiful.
Now, do you carry and USE them or do you carry a third knife for the dirty work?

Your a hero to carry both of them. They are both stunning. The most I can confess to is one and there is usually one close by in case of real nasty tasks :D.

No Third Knife

These are it

I use them with respect. Open Boxes, cut stuff the doesn’t require prying. With RC61 the blade could break if I were to pry. I would hate to break the tip off that wharncliffe blade.

Not with this BackPocket, but the one before I did find myself in a drainage ditch, knee deep in muck trying to gut some tangle up rope. I had the knife down under the water, cutting what I could…. I call it Patina. There have been other times that I have needed to cut stuff; the 440V has always done its job really well

The best way to clean I have found is to slosh it around in a bucket of kerosene, then zap it a couple of times with an air compressor. A good knife will out last all the rest.

Let me know if you ever want to sell. I'm always in the market for an inexpensive, used knife. :D ;) :D

Thanks Greg,

Only a few more days until the Blade Show...Hope to see you there
