so for those of you who are not aware of the nutnfacy terms in the title of this thread, p.o.u stands for philosophy of use and u.s.k stands for urban survival kit.just recently i finished an ongoing project idea i got from nutnfancy which is the u.s.k. how ever my urban survival kit dosint necessarily relate to urban disasters but also expands into wilderness survival as well. i carry this backpack loaded full of rope, medical kit, knives, fire kit, water purification and so on, however maybe im taking it a bit far as to be carrying it everyday? i was in a hardware store today and i went to pay for something and opened my backpack to pull out my wallet were the employee saw my overflowing bag of "survival items". i guess he was expecting a bag of school books or something because the look he had on his face was like i had a bomb in my backpack. i told him it was a u.s.k and what that meant. he still looked at me like i just robbed a military surplus store and stashed everything in my bag. but my point is, am i overdoing it by toting around a 15 pound (or more) backpack around? you tell me. do you carry a u.s.k or something similar? what is your p.o.u for your u.s.k?
