I think so. The small Sebby is just that.

This Memorial Day weekend up on the Black River in central eastern Arizona the Smallies and Rainbows were both hitting spinners, Rebel crayfish lures and red & gold spoons hard.

It was non-stop action in the pocket water, pools and riffles. I love my large Sebby but I truly think the small is the ultimate little bird and trout blade.

I'm planning a fly-fishing trip next month that'll likely (hopefully) see my small Seb cleaning up some smallmouth and largemouth alike.

It's like a pocket-scalpel. :)

Prof, where are you going? Somewhere in Virginia? That sounds like an awesome trip. The Seb is a one handed line clipper amoung all of it's other attributes. Great outdoor blade. Pocket scalpel is a good term for it.

I put a small leather loop ( just big enough for my little finger to pass through ) on the end of my Sebby. I dropped it once in a trout stream and spent about 30 minutes on my hands and knees befor I found it. LUCKY! Now it has a finger loop like the older fixed blade bird & trout knives !

Marvin, you are right. These knifes tend to really blend. I like your idea.

FK,that is a great site. I really like this one.

I do have a good lanyard for a couple of my other tools and I intend to get one for the Sebby too.

I just got into fishing real big about a month ago and I've almost droped my small classic out of the boat once already  ! I fish on Lay Lake here in Alabama and I think I need to get me one of those blue lanyards like in BoyNhisDog's picture. It looks real handy. On a side note I cought my first spot-bass the other day and it was a 3 pounder :D !

I went to college right on the river, and took up fly-fishing while I was there. Plan on taking an two-night trip to my favorite spot as soon as the wife allows...

That lanyard's nice!
