Has anybody read this book? From the description it isn't a cut and dry survival manual per se but more a commentary on "manliness" along with a broadened guide on things every man should know how to do. It looks like an interesting read but I'm unsure if I should spend the dosh on it.

Check your local library. They might have it and it doesn't cost you anything.

I've seen the book at B&N as well but haven't read it yet.

I got it from the library and am reading it now. Interesting take on survival and being a man in a PC world. So far it's good enough to keep reading, but I want to get his Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting.

Haven't even heard of it, but it sounds interesting. I just recently bought myself and my nephew copies of The Dangerous Book for Boys. All sorts of fun stuff in that.

I bought this book at an airport on a whim, it is mildly entertaining but it isn't a serious survival book.

The author is not an expert on anything, he basically just gathered some random info on a wide variety of "manly" related things.

I agree. It is entertainment more than a true skills or guide book.

Never saw it, but it looks like it would be decent. I will see if it is at the local Borders the next time I go by there.
