There has been so many survivalknife-threads lately so I thought that I make one as well.

I am getting a knife next week from Greg Covington that just mght be the ultimate survival-knife. It is a Forged Hollow Handled Survival Knife which has a 7.25" blade that has been fully forged from 1084:cool:. The entire knife has been sandblasted and then coated with a baked moly cote known as Kalgard...the same stuff used on Reeves survival knives. Another interesting concept with this knife is that it has a Vietnam era Gerber MKII 5 degree cant so that it rides in the sheath and against the body closer. The knife has an olive drab Eagle sheath.

Let me know what you think.

It looks real nice. How much did you pay for it?

Survival knives are a personal thing. Some people don't care too much for it. Others think it is a fad that has passed.

Then there are others like you and I who still think the world of hollow-handled survival knives.

People who venture into the wild or go trekking in the outdoors normally carry more than one knife. Whether or not they carry one similar to yours is a personal decision.

Either way you can't go wrong if you have a good knife in your hands.
