Some hogs are already fondling their enormous SAR5s right now, and the SAR5 ganzaa emails are coming. So I believe it's time to start getting all excited about the SAR4, the one, true SAR Busse!

This is the un-oinkficial SAR4 thread for posting unsubstantiated rumours, pretty pictures and, gods of steel willing, announcements from Boss Hog and Idahog on the subject of when we're actually going to be able to try our lucks at getting one of these thingies!

The reason I of all piglets am making this thread is that from what I've seen, the SAR4 may well be the most practically functional Busse design ever, by virtue of blade length, thickness, and not having a choil or guard. Ergo, I want one, or two, or three, most desperately, and am planning to savagely slaughter anyone who gets in my way. :p

That's backwards, it'll cost you a bottle of JWB to get to be one of the first 10.

Least, that's how I think it works.

From what Jerry said about the SAR5, it seemed to me that the SAR4 would be like design #2. That's certainly the one I'm interested in. The first design really doesn't strike my interest.
 
I like #1 but still wish for a more functional choil, even on the smaller knife.
 
I'm pretty sure it will have a small guard or choil, unlike the SAR5

A very small choil or guard would be nice. The SAR5 needed a small one... I didn't buy one, so I'm really not sure, but do get to talk about it:p
 
I was way more excited about the SAR4 to begin with, i think its much more impressive than the SAR5.

i can't wait, even though i just got a nice EDC (an HRLM).

Look at the notes on the paper. That is a drawing of the SAR5, not SAR4. ;) :thumbup::thumbup:

However, I'm pretty sure each one was baptized in a flowing stream of JWB. So that's close.

And I've got the secret codeword! It came to me ... floating on a stream of JWB.
