If you remember James Mattis had some suggestions for improvement for the Kumar Karda. Here is how the kamis responded.

This is basically the Kumar Karda upgrade --
full length tapered tang, buttcap, bolster and a very handsome carved handle which was thrown in as in added attraction. This run is excellently done by Kumar and so marked -- fit, finish and hardness all about as close as you can get to perfect for handcrafted knives. And, there are 3 or four different themes of carving motifs on the handles. The knives rate a 10 out of 10. The scabbard and frog are not done by the sarki with no name but are certainly acceptable quality.

James had 10 of these knives on order as I recall -- I erased the order file so this is from my failing memory -- and 10 is what we got today. So, if James wants them all he has dibs. If he doesn't sign up and I'll send you one right away. If he takes them all I'll send you one later but ASAP so you can get this little jewel for sure sooner or later. The going price for this one is a very modest $65 delivered to your door.

This example looks to be about 10 inches long or so and in my opinion a rare, must have opportunity. This will certainly fill an empty spot in my collection, if James does not take all of them...
