"The uploaded file is too large"

This is happening out of the blue now with almost every pic I take on my iphone, and then try to upload here later. It also happens when I try to "attach" the "take photo". It is happening seemingly completely at random as well. I literally just took a certain photo three times in a row before it finally accepted it the third time. Same photo and layout, same distance of camera from the knife, but the first two said it was too large, and finally the third time I could post it. What's going on, and how can I stop this?

I even just switched my iPhone camera settings from "most compatible" to "high efficiency" and it's still happening.

Looks like I’m providing my own tutorial this time. I just discovered I can select file size before upload.

And changing from full size to large allowed me to post what was otherwise too large.
