Took the folks out to the Valley of Fire, Las Vegas. Halloween pics- I was a swamprat and she was a cat! Mt Charleston. Wishing everyone on BF a safe and Happy New YEAR! From Rocco and myself.

Nice pics bro... that's a pretty kitty you have there. I'm not far from Goblin Valley--you'd probably enjoy it there; great in the late summer/early fall...
 
Love that place. Best 45-60 min ride out of Vegas. Great pics. Thx for sharing.

Thanks for the great pics there, WolfDad!! Looks like the dogs, cats, & rats were having a good time both outdoors and indoors. I love and miss the redrock country. Color me jealous. ;) :)

Gotta ask though: What says the sign your Swamp Rat is wearing?? I got out of it so far "Nothing worse than a (rodent?)...". I'm wondering what the rest of the sign says. TIA.

Thanks for all the compliments, Rocco told me to tell all of you he really appreciates them-it helps his confidence. I'm surprised no one complimented my Busse knife that is some where in the pics(honestly, I realized that is was in the pics after I posted them), I thought this was a Busse forum:D:D.

oh that is a message for one person and one person only;). Has no reflection of how I feel about Swamprats or Swamprat knives

David, that is Mt. Charleston- about 45 minutes North West of Vegas- you can usually see the snow on the mountains from the strip. There is a small ski resort there, tons of great hiking, rock climbing, and sight seeing. it goes up about 10,000 feet I believe. It's a nice break from the crazy Vegas scene. That day it was snowing thick up on the mountain, then as soon as you drove back down and you got to the smoother hills the snow just stopped and the sunny clear Vegas sky was above you all of a sudden.
