It has been a while since I posted anything. I had a great repeat customer approach me months ago about a blade he wanted me to make for him. He wanted to call it the "Vegetarian Alligator" due to the fact it would be used in the South American Jungles. He gave me rough dimensions and wanted it made along the lines of the Golok, keeping some weight out near the tip.

He loves W2 and wanted a hamon in the mix. I made a test blade and one in M4 for a Fellow BF-er before I was able to finish his up. They perform great and this should see some great use over the next year. i suggested a name change to the "Vegan Croc"

Final Vegan Croc Specs:
OAL: 22.25"
Blade: 14"

This was the Test blade in 52100, Photo shows cord wrapped "Test Handle":

This is the one in M4 and Honduran Rosewood:

This is the final blade for the original "Vegan Croc" blade:

And the Sheath to match the theme... Made by Mike Stevenson:

I would love to hear your comments,
...Ryan

I would say that this blade of yours is aptly named thanks to the handle and the sheath, well played sir!

WOW! I'd love any of those but the Vegan Croc wins the title. Great looking sheath and real cool pics. Thanks for sharing Ryan.
Cheers Keith

Ryan that thing looks amazing (esp. last iteration). I love it. The sheath is unique and perfect.

That alligator overlay is too cool. The Hamon looks reminiscent of plates of gator skin. And that blade looks ready to bite. What a great theme, captivatingly rendered. Good stuff!

Just, WOW! What a dynamic package, hope the lucky guy gives some feedback after its visit to the jungle.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Win I hope to have one finished up that we can use when I visit the end of this month!

would love to try that out in M4
your W2 version sure is dreamy though!

That is a beast , love the Hamon and the sheath is off the scale .
Quality would love that in my collection great work.

Had to come back to this thread to stare at that picture some more. Man, I really like that knife/sheath combo.

Oh, man. Ryan. That is just unbelievably beautiful work. Few makers can take both form and function off the charts like you.
