Mine was a 86 Ford Mustang LX. I bought it with 23K on it for $3500. (1990) I drove it til the odometer said 104K and all I did was change the battery once. Got great gas mileage and even though it was a 4 banger I thought it scooted along pretty well.
Well after four years I sold it to my brother who took advantage of the "family discount" I gave him and sold it to a friend of his who promptly totaled the car.
The way I take care of things I would still have that car running fine if I had not of sold it. Lots of good memories associated with that car too.

Do you guys have any car or trucks that you shouldn't have sold?

Sounds way too familiar.

I had a 1977 Olds Cutlass Supreme that I put a ton of work into. In '91 I came across a 1989 Camaro that I had to have so I sold the Cutlass to my brother-in-law cheap.

He traded it to someone for a beat to death early 80's Chevy C/K pick-up. I later saw my Cutlass totaled in front of the new owners house. Apparently he took it street racing and rear ended someone in a vehicle bigger than the Cutlass. It was a mess.

Neither of those are cars I wish I had kept. I've had some nice cars over the years but I don't regret getting rid of any of them. Maybe my 99 GMC Safari a little bit because I had plans to put a LS1 in that but never got the chance. Otherwise, I've never missed the one that got away.

'63 Pontiac Catalina 2-dr. with the custom Ventura trim. Had a 389 engine with three on the tree.

Owned it for less than two years but had to sell it when I went into the Navy in 1968.

My 97 K1500 Suburban.. I was being careless and I wrecked into a sewer cover and tore the whole entire front end out from underneath it. Bent the frame back three inches, air bags deployed, the whole mess.. Sold it to a full-size Chevy parter for $800.. It was my first truck that I have ever owned and 4x4 in the thing took me everywhere I pointed the bumper. Ran like totally shot, looked like a big, purple, mud-covered bus, but it was mine.. Many of hunting, fishing, and mountain top trips in that thing. I miss it, terribly.

2004 325Xi. Nice little beemer with optimal wheelbase for cornering. I got a 6-series but it doesn't handle as well, even with the 45-rubber. Really regret it as it had only 38k miles after 5 years. Wife thought we needed a bigger car for the kids.

Hi,

My first vehicle, 1948 Studebaker pickup. Stepside box, flathead six, 3 on the tree, vacuum powered wipers, foot operated starter. Bought for $150 from my Grandfather.

I have two regrets... my first real car: Pontiac Catalina '67 and my '89 Honda Accord (can't remember the letters designation, but it was the souped up one). I'll see if I can find a pic of the Pontiac, it's not a pic of mine though...

I don't personally have one, maybe my 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII. It had the 4.6 V8 DOHC 32 Valve rev happy Mustang Cobra engine, and was total luxury. First car to have HID headlights, LED tail lamp, puddle lamps under the mirrors, automatic adjustable air ride suspension, comfortable, and reasonably quick. The reason I say maybe is my example was wrecked when it was a rental car apparently which doesn't always show up on a carfax, and it had some issues. I still may buy a pristine example and drive it occasionally.

Now, I wish my dad had never gotten rid of his 1966 Mercury Comet with the 390 V8. I have only heard stories from him, but his year was the pace car for the Indy 500. He did a lot of drag racing and has many great stories. He got rid of it because he couldn't keep a clutch in it. He also had a 1971 Gran Torino with a 351 Cleveland that he talks about sometimes.

'84 Chevy Blazer. Thing was dirt cheap and fun to drive. Sold it to a kid that was just going to part it out for his, for $400. Should have just kept it.

1980 VW Scirocco. Cherry red. Black and white houndstooth check interior. Blaupunkt stereo. Sweetest little car to drive without having to spend a ton of money. Got married and my wife was driving in a carpool - kind of hard to get 3 other gals into the car. 1978(?) Kawasaki KZ1000. Also cherry red. That thing was AWESOME! Totally fun to ride. I used to look for excuses to head out of town for a ride. Did a some really stupid things on it - something to do with trying to see just how fast it would go. I would give just about anything to have either one back.
