its a movie ( 2 hours )with ideas about a resource based society , as opposed to monetary system
its not political IMO, and i really like the ideas about that society, the venus project
if you think its political, or disturbing, move it where ever you want
i just think its interesting and i agree with many of the thoughts presented later on the film

Reading the info, I'd say it is more of a life philosophy (unrealistic IMO) than merely political.

As with most such things, looks good on paper and wouldn't work in reality without proper indoctrination from childhood for all participants.
