The very best in Staffs

Hi all,
I am looking for the very finest in both Rattan poles and hardwood staffs. I am trying to get an idea of where to buy the most durable and well balances staffs. I want something for practice and something for combat. In the opinion of those out there are the rattan poles a better than the hardwood for combative use or vice-versa? I don't have any experience with buying sticks and staffs for fighting. I want something that I can practice with which I can also fight with. Bear in mind the art I study is Indonesian and the form is from a Gung Fu lineage. Which would be best for such a form? Thanks very much for your help in advance and happy new year to all.

i bought a 5' staff from bloodsport.com when attending a Crafty Dog seminar on staff. it and the sticks i got from them, still last.
