This recent pawn shop find was a bit mysterious at first. It looked very thick in the glass case. Upon examining it I was intrigued by the pliers and locking mechanism. I initially left w/o purchasing it. The knife was on my mind as I ran a couple of errands. On the way home I decided what the hell and bought it. I was giving it a good cleaning when I discovered a small Phillips head driver hidden under the pliers. The mystery was I could not figure out the name of this particular SAK. It is not on any current catalogues. I eventually learned it is called the Carpenter and that it has been retired. It shows signs of use but nothing is broken. It is too heavy and bulky for pocket carry. It is a nice addition to my collection.

That's a nice find. Great to see retired SAKs popping up every now and then. I suspect there must still be thousands of them around the world.

Great find. I would probably add it to my EDC rotation but then I carry a Hunter daily.
