If you haven't noticed I've had some spare time to post to the forum sharing my wise-ass ways. Wise I mean to say:eek:

I have a great opportunity this year to do some fun stuff. I am building a warehouse in SW Oklahoma. Just about 15 miles from Mountain Park Wildlife Mgt Area.

These are pics of where I stay and hunt, or just sleep and cook, fish if I want. It is basically pick-up truck camping but that's not how I work it;)

Thus far i've only spent just over a dozen nights; the weather has been just about as good as it gets 40-50+ at night 70-80 in the sun with only one night of rain and it was a lot.

i've learned I will often go without fire if I can. Making two fires a day for breakfast and dinner is a drag. The decaying mesquite I use leaves an intense odor.

It will be interesting to see how I hold up as temps drop and daylight hours decrease. Returning in late November/ leaving ? maybe Feb. Home on weekends unless I've had no time to hunt. work is 7am-3 or later pm...kinda leaves me in the dark.

You can see them here: http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae48/Briarbrow/The view/ That's where I've been staying -at the end of the road under the Mulberry
cheers

yep, right over there

Why are you building a warehouse way out in the middle of nowhere? It is a great looking area though.

Nice area and beautiful pictures of the area
Hang in there Would you be allowed to take wood scraps from the worksite- might be better burning than what you have.
Get yourself a comfy chair for taking in the sights while at the fire.
Thanks for posting

Hi Dan, what I pictured as more likely was taking dead wood from around there to the jobsite to go in a burn barrel so we'd have a spot to warm up. There won't be much wood used onsite.

There's a nice flat rock under the mulberry where I sit. I don't mind sitting on the ground. I try to use only those things that I want to carry. Thanks for checking it out and the advice
