I've been laid up in bed for the past few days and was trying to find something to do last night. Since I couldn't easily do any ACTUAL knife-related stuff, I started thinking of ways to try out knife designs on my PC. It really turned out to be a lot of fun, and I didn't have to spend any money on any design ideas that turned out to be less than useful.

Anyway, I ended up building some kinda off-the-wall knives after all...but all in Photoshop. It was a great way to remind me that it's OK to create novel and even strange things in the name of creativity.

This one, I might actually make soon:

I like it, and I also think doing designs, especially complicated ones should be done on a program first....

You can make it perfect, and then make it!

I do it as well to see what different types of materials will look good as replacement scales, before I order them. Also, I'm working on new custom shape scales for my BM710, I don't like factory one too narrow, no finger choil or guard. Factory handle not good match to the blade shape! Photoshop is definitely very useful for that purpose.
