The "Vixen"... A BM-e Fighter Variant from the BLADE '09 Show!

Ever have a Busse that you can't stop handling??? Yeah, stupid question, right? :o ...Well, this one is the latest one that I can't stop playing with. I've nicknamed "her" the Vixen as this BM-e variant is one nimble blade with an attitude... One foxy Mistress!! It has to be the lightest BM of any type or variant I've ever seen or handled, yet it's .270" at the ricasso, and roughly .220" along the spine of the blade. The balance point is just forward of the handle, and this blade seems lighter in the hand than it really is... Almost alive, she feels!! The blade is a tick over 9" from tip to top of handle, with about 8"+ of it one sharp, sexy, recurved edge. For reference, 9 inches of blade length is one inch longer than a NMSFNO, one less than a BM-e. This variant dances like a Mojo more than a Mistress, but with a slightly longer length and I believe that it's even lighter than my Mr. Mofo LE! :D Nice grindin', Garth!!! :thumbup:

I probably should have re-oiled the handles for 'her' photo session, but forgot. Please excuse the pix, as I had to use my backup pocket camera for these. Here goes...

Wow what a sexy blade. I definitely don't remember seeing anything like THAT on the table at BLADE. I did get in about 5 minutes after the doors opened, so most of the good stuff was probably gone already ;)

Yeah, that one is an interesting variant also. Very handle heavy, but cool grinds. It actually curves upward on the spine towards that secondary edge... :thumbup:

Those scales help make that BM-e variant, and the recurve and the clip point...... well you get the ideal.:)

Jaxx, thanks for sharing the pics of the Vixen. That knife sounds like a dream : looks good and has a great feel/balance. I enjoyed "meeting her". One of my favorite things about this forum is the photos :thumbup:---Joe
