The wait always kills me...

I'll admit, I'm a sucker for instant gratification. I know the reasons for how long Busse knives take, and I appreciate that they take that much time, but I still feel like a kid waiting for Christmas after each order. Surely I'm not the only one...
Let's share tips on how to make the time fly!

Hit the exchange and grab another Busse or kin to mess with while you wait. Got he basic 11 while I waited for he TGLB. Actually like the B11 more.

When I bought my first one off the site I bought two more off the exchange while I was waiting. Probably not a very sustainable habit to pass the time though.

Never ordered from the custom shop, but the ganza scores have always showed up in 1 to 3 weeks. I'm in the months wait on some S.O.E. gear though. It has always been worth the wait for great American made goods in the end.

I'm waiting for a AMS from the shop (not custom) double cut with tan canvas...my ASHBM only took about 3.5 weeks and my NMFSH from the custom shop only took 4 or 5 weeks if I recall. Both of those waits felt more like 4-5 months.

Edit: 110% worth the wait.

They are. I'm thinking of sending the TGLB back for a thinning. Don't know. I'm thinking my next Busse knife may be the battle mistress or the MOJO off the custom shop. I found that just placing the order and then staying busy helps allot.

I love my battle mistress dearly, in fact that is part of my plan for the wait...beat the hell out of my mistress every damn day.

I ordered my second tglb from them, I ordered it April 1 it arrived may 1, in that time I picked up 7 more then sold or traded 3 of the 7 in the month wait. I'm impatient also. As stated above the product is definitely the upper echelon of American knife making. I find myself wishing we had a monarchy so Jerry could be knighted....lol great company, great steel, excellent customer service

I usually only order knives when I'm drunk, that way you kind of forget about it, and when it shows up it's a surprise.

I sent my TG and BJ to them in February for a bowie grind on the TG and few mods on the BJ. Almost 4 months later, still nothing. :( First time sending something in for customization so I guess that takes a lot longer.

I fully support Sir Jerry Busse. I would go on the exchange but I'm poor and it would take a lot for me to trade either of my current hunks o' INFI.

I'm in the wait period for my first. Next week will be two months! I waited about 2 years for my ZT 0777. After a time you forget about it, unless you go onto a forum and constantly read about them. Or browse for sale forums. Or plan your next blade

Man. Im thinking of placing a full custom order. I'm assuming it would take WAY longer for something like that than anything. But. I could maybe see waiting for new handles. But. Man. Waiting does stink.

Buy NFA items, waiting for a tax stamp to come back will make Busse seem like overnight shipping

Ain't that the TRUTH.....even after you've been in the system for over 20 years.

I waited a year and a half for a bow once, and saved up for it about that long. The wait is worth it in the end. But, be honest, how long until y'all will have your hog perforater up on the exchange to grab the fundage for the next one?

This is not encouraging. Was thinking of buying a suppressor.

Don't think....just Do....They are worth the wait, but then again it's all relative to the time spent using it....I build my own so its just about waiting on the Tax Stamp to show up.
