I just placed an order for a Howling Rat. My first Swamp Rat. Now just wait for the little brown truck of happiness to pull up in front of my house.

I thought a lot to decide between the Howling Rat and the Bandicoot. I will mostly carry the knife when I am hunting, using it for field dressing game. I would want the knife to be able to do survival work if needed. I always carry a Benchmade AFCK (an older model with liner lock) which works well for lighter duty cutting tasks. The Holwing Rat will do the tougher stuff if needed.

I just checked, the UPS truck is not here yet... where can it be???

Good choice , I have one. It's a good knife for skinning game it has lots of belly and when you choke up on it, it is like a part of your hand.
You won't have any regrets getting it.
