Just ordered a Large Raindrop Damascus blade for one of the Sebenza's. Ooh this is going to be sweet!!!!!. Carry on gentlemen.
 
Nice. I placed an order for a large 21 with raindrop. Heather said the wait wouldn't be too long. Maybe around the 3 to 4 month mark.
 
A year ago it ranged from $270-$295 depending on the type of damascus you ordered. CR will usually tell you that the wait can be up to a year or more, but the blades are run in batches at certain times of the year. You might get lucky and order a certain type that Thomas happens to be currently running, or has some built up stock.

I know that Travis will post some pictures when it comes in, right :D!

Sorry to dig this one up, I got the call yesterday that I need to send my knife in for fitting.

I know this post is pretty old, but what are the specifics on that knife? I really want one! What do they run new if you don't mind me asking?
 
Since this thread is "back", fwiw, i ordered a large reg 21 with raindrop yesterday, and they said 1year wait:eek:

A year? really? or is that just a worst case scenario?
 
I'm guessing worse case scenario. I was'nt expecting the call at all, hopefully i'll have pics in a couple weeks. Maybe I can sweet talk them into adding a Insingo blade since I just sold mine.
 
hmmm..wonder if Ill get a call soon. Guess I should start scrapping up some change just in case.
 
My raindrop Mnandi took about 13 months, I got it a couple months ago. RE damascus pricing, In early May, Heather said a regular sebenza raindrop was currently $270 for the blade only.
 
On its way home. I'll be sure to post pics, to bad it could'nt of been a couple months later it would been nice to have a Large StarBenza with Raindrop.
