The Wait Is Almost Over

In late January, 2022, I ordered a Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight Salt with Magnacut blade from one of the big online knife retailers. From their website, it appeared to be in stock. Learned almost immediately that it was back ordered. The l-o-o-o-n-n-n-g-g-g wait. Production delays, kinks to work out, who knows what else. I had sort of bi-monthly emails from the vendor telling me I had not been forgotten. I know I’m not alone in this boat.
Earlier this week I was notified MY knife was shipping. USPS tracking indicates the package will arrive today! Keeping an eye on the mailbox…

Sweet. I have about the opposite Native, a Rex 45, but am considering a Magnacut so I can have a knife in water.

Native 5 LW is such a sweet lil design.

I feel ya. The custom I ordered won't be ready until November. Like Tom Petty says "The waiting is the hardest part."
