It is still several months away but it is never to early to discuss.

I'm really hoping to see some survival skills being utilized this next season. Maybe some brains too? Season 3 had action but it seemed to be a lot of brainless action. Looking forward to seeing some drama inserted back into the story.

Regardless, I'm gearing up! Weaponry upgrade FTW...

They almost lost me as a fan on Season 3, that was getting more and more painful every episode. I agree that the need to return to the survival aspect of the show, not just combating other survivors. Let's hope they get it right in Season 4!!

I gotta admit the season finale left me scratching my head. They spent the entire season building up the showdown between Woodbury and the Prison and to have no resolve really irked me. I really wanted too see The Governor die after Merle's death.

Oh well regardless, S4 can't come soon enough and I can't wait till October.

Don't you mean Season 3.3.. Its still going :(

I am hoping they pull their finger out as season 3 was watchable but nothing special....

I think your response has been the majority view. I'm just the opposite. A lot is preference and what entertains us—can't argue that. (Well, it's the internet! We can argue anything, haha.) But I would comment on one thing fro my perspective. They built up this conflict a ton all season, but it's important to consider that this wasn't Woodbury vs the prison, it was the Gov vs. the prison.

The Gov prepared his people to fight the prison, but in the end: he equipped civilians with heavy weaponry. When they attacked the prison they went all out in the intro, but when push came to shove and they were being shot at, they were still civilians with guns. They behaved as exactly as I would have expected. Right? I /wanted/ to see the Gov ended, but I am assuming he'll be useful later, and I don't think they've exhausted Martinez and this route kept him open.

I am curious and excited for season 4.

I know David Morrissey (The Governor) has signed on for S4 so we haven't seen the last of him.

Like I said I was a bit underwhelmed by the season finale. Not that I thought it was a bad ep in general, just not season finale worthy. While I wanted to see the conflict between him and Rick conclude, I am a little glad the Gov survived though cause there is still plenty to do with his character. I hope he gets real f'd up like in the comics.

I wish the season finales would become 2-hour shows. It's hard, I think, to imagine a really in-depth, epic story unfold in ~50 minutes. I don't know how we'd see everything we saw, plus the big Rick/Gov showdown (and the hopefully inevitable Daryl/Martinez showdown). I do think it was underwhelming in a sense, but I was quite pleased in the story-telling, especially on a second viewing.

Watchin' the end of season 2,(they're still on Herschel's farm) on Netflix, it's nice to be able to go back and rewatch it from the beginning.

I got sucked in and watched a LOT (meaning almost all) of the marathon week leading up to the season 3 finale. I think the series actually is better when watched in concentrated fashion.

My feelings exactly. It was such a nice build up, and they just wasted it... It really left me irritated, way too anticlimactic.

Okay, I take that back, there were a few good things that happened on the finale:

1. Andrea Dying, thanks for bringing that up Garth, she needed to go, BAD!! And she went out still acting like a moron: "Are you changing yet? No? Tell me about your nerd childhood and I will listen instead of trying to break free."

2. Carl shooting that kid pointblank who wouldn't put the shotgun down. He is smarter than his daddy.

3. Some of you may call me sick for liking this part, but when the governor starting killing his own people, well, that made the show good again, if only for a minute or two. I expect more of that in zombie times and less of Glenn and Maggie just shooting to scare people, that was stupid.

I think I am going to re-watch the first two seasons, good idea :)

If nothing else they got rid of Andrea and for that alone it was worth it.

Garth

Dang it, they did what!? I still have not seen the last 2 episodes. I am going to watch them tonight so I have no more suprises like this. :(
