The Wall honoring the Vietnam Veterans was setup for this weekend at a neighboring town.
It was setup outside at the local High School. They also had a Huey on display, and several active duty soldiers to answer questions...

I saw the Wall about 8 years ago for the first time. I couldn't believe the reality that set in when I saw it. The feeling is still the same the second time.

My son Travis was only about 5 years old and doesn't remember much from the first time, so we wanted to take him today.

My moms cousin was K.I.A after only being in Vietnam a short time. He was a door gunner. I found his name the first time and traced it out on a piece of paper. Today I remembered to take the camera and got a picture of it.

This display had expanded and included new displays honoring Veterans from recent deployments as well.

They also had a display of all the Presidents pictures. This isn't meant to be political, so I won't share my comments on how I felt when I saw the picture of the current Commander in Chief.

It was a great day for honoring those that served and are still serving. But then again, every day is.

The wall came to my town as well. There were ceremonies honoring the few men that were still alive in my town. As well as all the ones that were lost. It was very moving.
