One of the finest pieces of art in metal, the Warenski Khukuri (or Kukri) - perhaps one of the top five Warenskis ever created not of solid gold - was offered for sale at the Art Knife Invitational (AKI) in 1997 and since then, few people have had the opportunity to see it. However, it has just been acquired by buddy Dan Favano. I was lucky enough to be contacted by Dan with a few questions about it that I hope assisted Dan in his decision to advance discussions about the possibilities, and the end result was the magnificent Warenski Khukuri entering the Favano collection, one of the very finest of knife collections in America.

Unbelievably wonderful....thanks for posting this my friend.

Only he could make a cup hilt Kukri... absolutely stunning.

But all I can think of is "John Carter, warlord of Nepal", lol.

Amazing piece! That's one big chunk of Lapis on there!:)

Absolutely splendid! Envious of his talent

I have seen a lot of Warenski's in person and through images. I can't say that I've ever seen this particular magnificence. Dan certainly knows his way around quality.

Who's taking those good clear photos and editing them on the black background? Very nice!

Not sure of their origin, Coop. All of the images came to me some time ago from the original owner. I have an idea but prefer not to give credit if I don't know for sure.
