The Wave and the New CQC7

I've learned that Ernie unveiled a new CQC7 at the Shot Show which incorporated the wave into the blade, like the Commander.

I would like to know when the release date is for the knife, the materials specifications and the price. Does anybody out there know?

It sounds like this will be a real winner with the fast opening wave and the compact size of the CQC7 as compared to the very large Commander (The Commander's so big that I sometimes laugh because I feel like I'm carrying a pocket pistol in my right front pocket).

After daily carrying my Commander during the last year, I've gotton used to it's automatic opening when I pull it from my right front pocket. Since using the Commander, I've not been able to find another folding knife and many fixed blades as well, which are faster into action.

That sounds amazing. I can't wait. The CQC7 was the first knife I bought when I started buying more expensive knives about 4 years ago. I'm really glad to hear that it may be getting the wave.

Yes, the prototype of the CQC-7 with the wave was unveiled, so to speak , at the show. In addition to having the wave, it also had a titanium blade and blue anodized liners. 99% sure that this will be the next knife with the wave in production but, things can change.

I would not hold off buying that Commander to wait for the 7. This knife is really not that close as to going in to production. The Police Utility Knife, the Mach 1, and a large run of Commanders are being worked on now. Gotta put out some current production pieces before anything new. Stay tuned though!
