Pardon me for being a little thick, but as I've never been near enough to any stores which carry Emerson knives, I was just wondering how, exactly, the "Wave" feature works? I've seen the CRKT M-16/18, and I know that the Carson Flipper has been compared to the wave, but how does the wave actually work?

The Carson flipper is nothing like the Wave really. The Wave is a hook on the spine of the blade that can be used to catch the pocket on the draw (or from specially designed sheath) and open the folder while you remove it from your pocket. It is the fastest opening method on the market. It is also unique in that it still allows you to remove the knife in the closed position and open the knife manually when you want to. Hope this helps. You really need to experience the Wave to fully appreciate it.
