I've said goodbye to my mnandi river of fire and it has found itself a new home and is on it's way to the new owner as of today.
A sweet goodbye since it took me back in memory to the days when I started my humble crk collection. The joy when it came in was great and it's a beautiful knife.
Congrats to the new owner! Hope to see some pictures of it in the future :)

What a gorgeous Mnandi -- the River of Fire blade is fantastic! Must have been hard to say good-bye...

In a way, it has been with me for a long time, but since I never used it and never will, I thought it would be good to let someone else enjoy it. I've been away from the hobby for a while, and since I'm now into it again, I've decided that knives that i don't use need to find another home, for their sake ;)
Hard to let go because it's beautiful and rare and a grail knife.
Easy to let go because it's just not enough to look at it and not use it. And not worth letting my kids fight over it when I'm dead, since I have more kids than mnandi ROFs lol :p

That all makes good sense. ;)

Incidentally, what is the wood inlay on that one?

If you love it let it go.... more room for the next one.... $$$$$ too I'll bet!

oh god 😍 that's probably the sexiest Mnandi in existence. congrats to the new owner! and may he flood the interwebs with pics :)

While Damascus is attractive in general, River of Fire is just on another plateau! Just awesome!
