The WH E10 and the Spyderco Southard are my top two knives. Help me find a third?

I don't know if that gives a good indication of my taste in knives, but I'm looking for a midtech folder that's elegant and uncomplicated. An example of what I'm not looking for: knives like Zero Tolerance and Strider. Great knives, but too beefy and "tactical" for my taste. I've been considering a LionSteel TiSpine for a while, but am looking for other suggestions. Thanks!

Here are my two favorites:

It's hard to beat the E10.

I would go with a Small Sebenza or a Kirby Lambert Scorpios.

Check out a William Henry B30 Gentac. Lots of options in terms of pocket clip vs clip case and Damascus vs non-Damascus blades. I have both a WH EDC and a Gentac and think both are great. Happy hunting.

Emerson Gentleman Jim. It feels like a nice compact and slim nice but it packs a punch of a typical Emerson. Ernie did a great job of designing a tactical-style gentleman's folder.

I like the Gentac suggestion, there are some nice WH options that would be hard to go wrong with. You've got me looking at that Lionsteel now too.

Well, I already suggested a beefy option to you at the other place, so how about smaller options? Maybe the mini version of the E10, the E6?

From a "you like quality, so let's suggest some quality" standpoint I feel like I should suggest a couple of knives that I don't like:

Spyderco Domino
CRK Sebenza

I don't like my Domino much, but it's a really well made knife that has some things in common with the Southard you already like (ti frame lock, Spyderco, flipper). The Sebenza didn't do it for me at all either, but you can't deny how well crafted they are (even if CR is kind of a douche).

For something under 100 check out the Kershaw speedform2. For something way under the 100 mark check out the Higonokami . For something over that 100 mark maybe a CRK Mandi or what about the Benchmade ........ ahhhhh I can't remember the model name.. Thin, CF scales, blue ti liners, M390 or was it ZDP189?Anyone? Or you can buy a Gerber and realize just how awesome the knives you have are:p

Brancron, nice shots on the two, the WH AG Russel looks great, I have the smaller E6.
I'm happy with WH but I'm experiencing some problems with a 2 years old E10 with the locking system in closed position, the system is no more able to attract the blade in fully firm closed position and it becomes a little risky carry it in pocket.
If you are looking for classy knife, lightweight and beautiful please take a look at the Klotzli knife from Switzerland.

Chris Reeve Mnandi
Chris Reeve small Sebenza with various inlays

I had an E6 for a while, but it was just too small and I ended up selling it. However, I did just purchase a box elder burl Mnandi and have a feeling that it might just be "the one". Here it is:

I'm not much of a CRK fan, but I'm a sucker for a classy burl and that's pretty sexy.

The Mnandi is the same size as the E6 though. The Mnandi actually feels smaller in the hand because it lacks the forward choil.

Jesus, you're right. I don't know how I didn't notice that. I cancelled the order. It does look really beautiful, though.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I went with a matte bronze Lion Steel TiSpine. I'm very excited.

I think you'll like the TiSpine. I handled them at Blade and they were very elegant. Not the easiest to open and close one handed but since it's not a tactical knife, no big deal.

Be sure to let us know how it stacks up to your others.

Glad you canceled in time. My buddy has a few Mnandis and while I love staring at them and handling them, they are too small for me. Their size does not translate well on the computer screen.
