This is a Knife I got from STR about 2 years ago (exactly 2 years ago now that I think of it) and has served me extremely well since.
Lets start with general specs:

Blade: 3 inches wharncliff, full flat grind
blade thickness: 2mm
Handle length: 4.125 inches
overall thickness: 0.5 inches
Lock: Liner lock
Liner material: 410 stainless, heat treated by Paul Bos
Scale Material: Birch wood
Blade material: 1095 steel that is vanadium and carbon enhanced

Performance: just perfect, what can I say? no knife I own takes an edge like this one, some hold it a little better but not one of those sharpens nearly as easily. The grind and thickness make it the best slicer I own, this knife just goes through anything as if it was air.

Before STR sent it to me, he told me it was built to work, not for play and I decided not to baby it, it worked it daily cutting everything - rope, food, zip ties, cardboard, wood, plasic bottles, you name it. The knife even came to me a couple of times to the army when I was called for reserve service and performed flawlessly.

The lock is rock solid and never failed, no play what so ever.
I'm reading back my own review and I'm laughing at how short it is but I really do find this knife just superb, hat's off to STR ;)

I have taken some pictures with my camera phone but I can't attach them
so I e-mailed them to you, STR, if you could please post them for me.

Wow! Good to hear from you. I remember that knife well. I made that for myself originally for wood carving and whittling. Hence the name I gave that model. Paul Bos was a true gentleman and helped me out of a bind with those 410 stainless liners. I got those in a trade and found out after that it was recommened oil quench stuff for maximum hardness to heat treat it which turned out to be a bit of a problem because none of the guys I used did that. He gave me a great deal and did those on his own for me, a favor which I've never forgotten. He actually managed to get those to 45 Rockwell too which is about three points higher than most guys can muster. This was before the move to California of course and quite a while ago. I still have three sets of those same liners I'll use again one day. As I recall he did some blades for me and pocket clips and some other items like springs and stuff after that several times as we got to know each other better and I've always been very happy with his dealings with me. Haven't spoken with him much since the move though.

Anyway, here are a couple pics for you.

Thanks for checking into my new forum I.V. Make yourself at home anytime.
