If I had a scanner or digital camera, I'd take a pic of these beauties.
These past two weeks saw the arrivals of a large Pheasant Tail graphic Seb. (thanks to a thinning-of-the-herd by a fellow forumite), a numbered edition redwood-inlay Mnandi (#25 of 25, via another forumite), and my favorite, a small Seb.
I've already got one G2 hard at work on sheaths for the Sebs, and unfortunately, my wife has been eyeing the Mnandi. I just see the scratches inherited from floating around in the bottom of her purse now... That baby's going in the safe pronto.
I guess my point, other than to brag a little
, is to express some heartfelt gratitude to CRK for continued excellence in turning out some really nice folders.
As long as I've been collecting and using knives, I've owed it to myself to carry the best that I could afford (at least that's how I justify it to myself), but one of the real beauties of the Sebenza series in particular is the value. Some people will gripe about their cost all day long, but let those same people handle costlier custom framelocks of lesser-quality fit-and-finish and maybe they'll understand.
Being able to disassemble something with ease vs. man's inherent "need" to disassemble something, be it easy or not, is an enduring struggle to be sure. And wouldn't you know it, the Sebs are made with me in mind.
Thanks for listening to my humble ramblings, and thank you CRK for helping me lessen my bank balance, and more importantly, helping me lessen my frustration in the pursuit of the perfect pocket folder.
