I dunno if you see it but it looks like theres a chip in the blade about 1cm under the tip
 
Its an artifact. It's all good if it was a chip though, I'd just sharpen it out! It will be a user!

That is what I figured. I see those all the time on mine...just a fleck of something, rub it off and shrug.

Only once was there really a damaged spot...never offer up your knife to a roughneck well driller unless you know how to fix an edge;)
 


Keep one of these Elmax Blurs lying around! Great knife for the money. I find the Elmax to behave alot like s35v!
 
She got the better end of Christmas, an A6. We live in the burbs and have gone with only one car for 6 years so it was about time!
