Today, while waiting for lunch at a bbq joint, my wife took out her MOP Al Mar Osprey (her first and only knife so far, Christmas gift from me of course) and began shaving off a callous on the palm of her ring finger. It was a beautiful moment for me. I shed a tear of joy! She usually looks at me with big eyes if I pull one of my knives out of my pocket in public and clean my nails, pull out a splinter, or indescriminate use. Now, she is doing it too.

oohhhh now you've gone and done it. Now your knife expense might have just doubled. instead of you sneaking around buying knives incognito it might be the both of you now. On second thought it is a match made in heaven, now she will understand you better. I need to play subliminal messages to my wife while she is asleep so I won't get in so much trouble when Mr.UPS shows up at the house.

I do have the best wife in the world. :thumbup: I do not own an Al Mar as of yet. I did not mind getting her one before me. Luckily, as far as the mail goes, I am home before her still, so I can usually sneak in a buy now and then. I have to remember to get the mail prior to picking up the kids (mail comes around 3 pm), because they rat me out. Bunch of little finks! My collection is at or above 30 slippies now, so she cannot remember if it is a new one or one I bought awhile back.

My boyfriend bought me my first knife over a year ago. It is a Benchmade 555HG-PNK mini-griptilian. I loooove this baby. I use and abuse it at work. It's beautiful. He recently bought me a RAT IZULA (pink or course) for Valentines Day. Such a romantic he is! Needless to say, he may have started something.
