I just got my Ring Belt from The Wilderness Tactical Products today. I have been looking for a high quality belt scuh as this for awhile now. I have two of their Instructors belts and they are well made and hold up to some abuse. I use the 1 3/8" belt on my turnout gear and the narrower 1 1/2" as my duty belt. I used to wear any number of different styles of belts for everyday use but they soon wore out and I was off buying another. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. I would have saved myself some cash. Incidently, this whole purchase came about because of a warranty repair on my Instructors belt. The narrow 1" x 3" piece of velcro was coming off and I sent in with instructions to have a 1 3/8" x 3" piece of velcro instead which they did for no charge. I was discussing belt sizes with them when I was informed of the Ring Belt. I hadn't known they had them. I am very happy that I have this belt now. It should last a good long while.

I know what you mean, I use to go through belts like crazy. I finally bought a wilderness belt a year ago and wear it daily, they are great, stay stiff and when carrying things on them it doesnt sag which is a huge plus.

I like the ring belt, just might have to pick one of those up. :D

They make different widths and either aluminum or plastic[for airport security]. They are also making their Zip-slide holster again [excellent]. They make good stuff, you won't be disappointed.

I've worn the same leather belt with a brass buckle every day for about fifteen years now, and it shows very little sign of wear. I got it from a belt-maker on an open-air market.

Hi Ken,

On your 1 1/2" duty belt, did you get it with the 3 stitch or 5 stitch? I'm thinkin' this may be the belt for me. Thanks for posting about it.

I went with the 3-stitch belt. I felt that as an EDC belt I didn't need the extra stiffness as I'm not carrying any weapons on it. If I was allowed to carry I would have gotten the 5-stitch.

The extra stiffness goes well with a big knife hanging off it ;)

Or in my case, several EDC items like a SureFire E2E, Wegner Pro-Hunter, Swisstool, etc.

That is sweet!

I ended up with a Wilderness Instructors belt. 5 stitch, I believe. I never really cared for these until I tried one. I use it with my Sidearmor holsters and mag carriers.

I want one of those too.

I have one of their ring belts. It's about 5 years old(used every day...these belts last forever) and the stitching on the velcro is coming off. If I send it in will they replace the velcro?

Yes they will. I only paid shipping costs.
